Shawnee embarks on a new chapter in her artistic journey through this series exhibited at Art in the Park. After years of refining her vinyl cut stencil process, the focus has shifted from developing her technique to showcasing a broader range of styles.

Continuing her exploration of finding beauty in the mundane, these works delve into the concept of capturing moments in time and explore the relationship between people and place. Shawnee plays with perspective, inviting the viewer to experience familiar urban landscapes through fresh and unexpected lenses. From a personal view inside a car to the distorted angle of a fisheye lens, each viewpoint adds a unique dimension. This variety of perspectives is intended to deepen the audience's connection to the artwork, offering new ways to engage with the scenes.

By experimenting with different compositions, shapes, and sizes, Shawnee gives familiar city scenes a fresh look. Her work invites viewers to pause, reconsider, and rediscover the spaces they inhabit, prompting them to find stories and beauty in the everyday that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
